Ready set and go on June 10th gamers! The 3D firmware for Playstation 3 was released in April by Sony and now the much anticipated games will be released. The first 3D games for PS3 will be released by Sony in Japan on June 10th. The games include Pain, Super Stardust HD, Wipeout HD and MotorStorm2 will be released.
All these games reportedly will be getting 3D visuals by their own individual updates except for Super Stardush HD and Wipeout HD whose updates will be available free of cost. 3D Pain update is priced at $3.20. The games require 3D television sets and stereoscopic glasses to view the effect.
The games are only being released in Japan as of the press release but soon will be out in Europe and North America.
The 3D update for MotorStorm will be released at the end of June. Other games coming up after this first release include Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2 and Little Big Planet.
Sony might just win the 3D game market by coming out with titles and the technology sooner than Xbox and the Wii. With 35 million play stations sold, sony can expect a jump in 3D television sales as well.
