Today BGR reported in an article that AT&T’s iPhone exclusivity might be ending in the next few weeks. Speculation is that the contract ends on December 31st this year. It is also being said that Verizon might invite Steve Jobs at CES 2011 and announce the Verizon iPhone 4.
Verizon will be also announcing its 4G network at CES and it is being said that Apple has another model of the iPhone 4 which supports 4G. The site reported that it is very possible that Steve Jobs might instead hold his own event at the end of January and announce the new iPhone 4. The new iPhone 4 means a phone with GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSPA/LTE + CDMA all in one chipset.
There is a strong chance of the Verizon iPhone event to occur and this has been in the talks for a while. Apple will like the new venture as it can boost its sales thanks to Verizon’s faster network.
