android_google_itgruntsIce Cream Sandwich is yet to be launched, we are hearing reports of the next next Google Mobile OS already. If rumors are true, this version will be called Jelly Bean! What we know is that there will be some “game changing stuff” in the new OS and some features originally slated for launch with Ice Cream Sandwich will now make their debut in Jelly Bean. We are unsure or unclear what these new features will be or which ones will launch with Jelly Bean.

Google is notorious to name its OS’s after desserts in alphabetical order. From Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb and now Ice Cream Sandwich that is expected to launch in October/November. So the name of the next OS should start with ‘J’ and Jelly Bean sounds quite appropriate.

The launch of Ice Cream Sandwich will take the pros of Gingerbread and Honeycomb and combine them into one OS that will run on tablets as well as smart phones. Not a whole lot of details are known about the features of the Ice Cream Sandwich and considering the fact that some have been pushed to Jelly Bean raises some concerns.
