People come up with awesome ideas when it comes to Legos. Here is another one. A well known Lego artist made a 3D scanner out of Lego bricks and a few custom parts! The 3D scanner now is used to scan lego parts and turn them into 3D CAD LDraw parts to make virtual Lego models.
This is not the first time Phillipe Hurbaine did something clever with Legos. He is well known for his clever combination of software, hardware and Legos. This is one of the best working Lego mechanical models we have ever come across.
