EA is cashing in on its last week’s Battlefield 3 launch. Even while there were some stability issues that are now resolved, EA announced that it has sold about 5 million copies of the game worldwide. That the analysts say is a huge success and the sale was split between consoles and PC’s. Thankfully EA has resolved all of its gaming issues with the game.

“We are happy to report that we had a great weekend with server stability at roughly 98.9 percent. While some players experienced intermittent outages of online services due to high volume, internal estimates show that servers and service stabilized, ensuring that players were connected and enjoying the game,” the company said.

EA said that the demand has exceeded company’s expectations and it will now work on optimizing and improving the game’s performance.
