Looks like everyone is in the rush to take advantage of the video on demand market which has recently seen a huge boom. Today Amazon said that its Disc+ service that provides users with an instantly viewable digital copy of a DVD or a Blu-ray purchase is now expanding its titles from a few hundred to over 10,000 titles!
That’s quite a collection which even Netflix would envy. The Disc+ On Demand lets you purchase a movie from Amazon.com and a digital copy of the movie will be added to your online library. The movie can be watched on a variety of devices including PC’s, Macs and a wide variety of console devices.
Amazon has run a similar service for music purchases for some years now. Looks like this service when applied to movies will do a lot better than having music subscriptions.
