dell-tablet-newDell said yesterday that it was working on a second Android tablet which will be a successor to the Dell Streak. Dell said the new tablet will be loaded with features that will enable it to push its business up by 20 percent before this quarter. Michael Dell, the founder and the CEO of the company, revealed the plans for the second Android tablet at the Oracle OpenWorld conference in San Francisco.

However he did not give out specific details. No technical specifications, pricing or release dates were given out. He did say that the new tablet will have a 7 inch screen similar to the iPad and larger than the 5 inch Streak. Back in April, there were rumors about a new tablet that Dell might work on nicknamed “Looking Glass”. Spculation is that Michael Dell is talking about the same tablet.

It does seem like Dell thinks tablet market is the future and Dell Streak seems to be just a learning experience for Dell who wanted to get its feet wet. Dell is so confident in its tablet market strategy that it is forecasting a 20 percent increase in business for the current quarter.
