There were rumors about this but this is close to being real. Apple is making some significant and huge changes to its stores and how users shop for Apple products. These changes have been confirmed by BGR who reported that a trusted insider has revealed the new look and operations of the soon to be changed Apple stores.

There is no more waiting for shipping! Apple products ordered online can be picked up in store in not more than 12 minutes and this includes users who ordered Apple products online, on an app or via their mobile devices as well! The stores will also now include an in-store self-checkout option for accessories. This new initiative will start rolling out to Apple’s retail stores world-wide on Thursday.

Apple is also introducing, as mentioned above, an employee-free checkout plan where after you find the item you want to buy, like an accessory, you launch the Apple Store app on your iOS device and there will be an option to buy a product in the store. You scan the product with the camera on your device in the app, click purchase, and it will charge whatever credit card is associated to your Apple ID. You then just walk out of the store. It was also said that Apple will not be checking purchases.

Products like iPads are not eligible for self-checkout but small purchases are.

What do you think about these changes?
