Apple released some updates today to its iMac line. It also released the much rumored Magic Trackpad – a wireless “intuitive multi-touch” trackpad. The iMacs are packed with more power while having the same look and feel as the previous designs. A latest new edition to iMacs are that they now come equipped with an SSD drive.

The iMacs are all loaded with either the Intel dual-core i3 and i5 processors as well as quad-core i5 and i7 processors. The iMacs also come with the discrete ATI Radeon HD for higher graphics. Only the 27” iMacs come with a 256GB solid state drive as either a primary or a secondary drive.

As usual the iMacs are pricey. The 21.5” iMac starts at $1,199 for a 3.06GHz core i3 processor with 4GB RAM and a 500GB SATA drive. The 27” iMac costs about $1,999 and comes with quad-core i5s with 1TB of disk space.

This time the iMac not only comes with the Apple’s Magic Mouse but also comes with the option of the Magic Trackpad. The Magic Trackpad is an external wireless trackpad and brings multitouch gestures to Apples desktop computers. This allows users to pinch and zoom, two-finger scroll, three- and four-finger swipes, and more.

You can get yourself a Magic Trackpad added on top of your iMac order for an additional $69 however there is no trackpad-only option. Apple also is selling now a $29 AA battery charger to go along with your wireless devices.
