It is being widely reported that Apple is working on plans to sell newspaper subscriptions on its iPad tablet. It is being reported that Apple is in aggressive talks with many news papers over the E-news stand project. Yesterday Wall Street Journal suggested that the new service could launch as early as next month which will include magazines as well.
There has been no official comment from Apple however sources indicated that Apple has been in talks with the news papers and publishers and has been insistent on its typical 30 percent cut in sales. Some of the publishers such as Hearst and The Houston Chronicle are already in the deal.
