The other day at NASA in Houston we kept thinking, if in 1969 we had enough technology to send a man to the moon,bp_logo_color and now in 2010 we have technology to pack enough computing power in an iPhone, we still fail to stop the leak 5000 ft below in the sea.

Even after 65 days there has been no possible solution on how to stop the leak. Different attempts to tap the leak have failed.

After all the success we have had with technology, the bottom line is that technology has failed us. And when the most up-to-date technology fails, we human beings as a civilization fall back on the basics, the basics that help us build a better technology.

Well, this seems to be BP’s final attempt to stop the leak and it should work!
