Google today announced that it was making the Google Docs editing functionality available for smartphones with support for both Android and iOS devices. This is great news for all those folks who reply on Google Docs and are frustrated with broken functionality on smartphones. It is clear Google has heard them all. After Microsoft’s office 360 launch, Google is under increasing pressure to respond with newer products that work on a vareity of platforms.
Although Google docs was available for the cloud it was never optimized to work on a smart phone. This was a hassle especially when you had to edit. Google said that this new services will be rolled out in a few days and will be available for all those running Android 2.2 and iOS 3 and above.
