Looks like Google is in no mood of giving up its after its failed aquisition of Groupon. It was reported that Google has entered acquisition talks with many smaller discount websites that rival the Groupon.
Google is considering other Groupon rivals such as LivingSocial and BuyWithMe for a buyout by the company. The interim president of BuyWithMe, David Wolfe wouldn’t confirm the buy out.
Google offered Groupon about $6 billion while the company being worth $1.3 billion earlier in 2010. If Google is able to combine smaller firms into one main offering then Groupon might be looking at one strong competitor.
