Sprint is already feeling the heat from the AT&T and T-Mobile merger. Today Sprint announced the next generation of its EVO line, the HTC EVO 3D. The 3D handset landed on the HTC site and was seen sporting a GSM radio. The site said that the phone will work on both HSPA/WCDMA for frequencies of 900/AWS/2100 MHz. It also is Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE capable with frequencies of 850/900/1800/1900 MHz.

It was surprising that HTC came out so soon with the EVO 3D but Sprint is keen on keeping its customers interested rather than loose them to the new bigger AT&T. So far HTC and LG are leading the 3D race. There is no news on when the handset will hit the stores or the price of the handset is also a mystery. The Sprint E3D will be coming to us sometime this summer, and it wouldn’t be all that surprising if we saw the same for the GSM variant.
