There was a new report from Wall Street Journal that said that the release date of the iPad 3 is scheduled to be sometime in early 2012. The report also mentions that the device will have a high resolution 2048 x 1536 pixel Retina Display which is quadruple the pixel density of the current display featured in the original iPad and iPad 2. The report says that it picked up information from people familiar with the situation but does not detail further.
The report also said that the iPad 3 had originally been scheduled for a 2011 launch but that display screen issues had pushed the launch timetable back until 2012. There is no info on which month in 2012 will the iPad 3 will be released. But this might mostly happen in either April or September as we know those are Apple’s favorite month.
