Japanese are always into robots and now have come out with a robotic guide Dog! This latest invention from NSK is called the “robo-dog” and is meant to not simply entertain people but actually be a guide dog for the blind and the needy.

The robo-dog has been part of a research which has been going on since 2005 however researchers say it is far from over. The current prototype isn’t anything impressive but researchers say it is a move in the right direction.

It has aesthetic travesty, all pointy edges and exoskeleton. If this ever goes into commercial production, improving its appearance would be a priority.
