Apple and Samsung are clearly partners sharing bitter goud! Today it was reported that Apple had submitted design change documents to Samsung asking it to change its design of the Galaxy Tab so it may not clash with the iPad’s design. The suggestions come from Apple as the Cupertino giant’s lawyers show off a tablet design of the Galaxy Tab that would satisfy Apple to prevent further battles.

Besides unveiling the render, Apple wanted Samsung to build a tablet with Shapes that are not rectangular with four flat sides or that do not have four rounded corners, front surfaces that are not completely flat or clear and that have substantial adornment, thicket frame rather than a thin rim around the front surface and profiles that are not thin relative to [Apple patent D’889] or that have a cluttered appearance.

Its interesting that the Galaxy Tab is made similar to other Android tablets in the market so we are unsure why Apple is so after Samsung’s Galaxy Tab. One reason could be because of Samsung’s market power not just in the US but also abroad.

The internal hardware does play an important role in distinguishing two similar looking subjects, but the cosmetic glam is also a pivotal factor in deciding the fate of the tablet from the date of its public announcement to its retail lifetime.

Apple, why be so evil?
