hack

hackHaven’t seen this for a while. The governement of Uttar Pradesh, a state in India has filed a police complaint after one of its education department website was hacked. The governement also reported in the complaint that the hackers were from US and UK which were considered prime suspects.

The complaint read that the government website was hacked last month and the hackers replaced government information on education with viagra and birth control pills. The hack was detected on July 22nd and the complaint was filed following after.

The hack has since been fixed and the government promised stern action against the culprits. This hack comes in contrast to the security concerns that India is having over the BlackBerry smartphones. The Indian government is also targetting Skype and Google to get access to chats and voice calls for security monitoring.
